Introducing Westbuy-on-Trym
When our founder first decided to set up a day nursery in the late 1990s she chose the leafy suburb of Westbury on Trym. The search criteria were simple – a family house similar to those the local children live in so as to make their transition to nursery as seamless as possible. A large detached house yards from Elmlea Primary School, the shops of Stoke Lane and the busy Falcondale Road was chosen for the excellent connections it offered for parents and the convenience it presented to parents on their way to Elmlea or to the shops. Some of the grandparents of our children even remember the building in its former life as a Post Office!
Once Upon a Time was one of the first fixed site day nurseries in the area and soon became an important part of the community. Over the years it has grown and developed and has recently undergone a significant renovation to help it remain looking its best. We are always updating and improving the nursery and there are always more improvements in the pipeline!
The nursery primarily serves the local areas of Westbury on Trym, Stoke Bishop and Henleaze but we have a number of children from further afield who chose the nursery due to its convenience for those commuting into the city, its beautiful and tranquil suburban surroundings and most of all our wonderful children and staff! We have close links to a number of major local employers including Airbus.
